VANESSA NEDRICK

FINANCIAL SECRETARY

Vanessa Nedrick is a Principal and Regional Manager of Remington and Vernick Engineers (RVE). She is the first African American female partner and shareholder in the company’s 123-year history. In the last four (4) years she has opened and managed two new offices for the company, one in Yardley, Bucks County, and the other in Allentown, Lehigh County. She graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Civil Engineering and MS in Engineering Management. Vanessa is a licensed professional engineer in PA, DE, and MD. Prior to working at RVE, she started her career at the Philadelphia Water Department specializing in Water/Stormwater/Wastewater Design and Trenchless Technology Design.

Since joining RVE, Vanessa expanded her experience into municipal engineering that exposed her to land development and planning, traffic planning, traffic design, roadway design, ordinance and zoning reviews, and grant writing. She is involved in several professional organizations that touch upon all facets of her career: Water Environment Federation Program Committee Member, Vice Chair of Utility Management for Pennsylvania Water Environment Federation, Vice Chair of EPWPCOA Pretreatment Committee, Committee Member for WTS Philadelphia Lehigh Valley Annex, and serves on the committee for COMTO Philadelphia’s Annual Golf Outing.

She was a 2016 Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree and a 2019 Philadelphia Business Journal Woman of Distinction. Currently she serves on the IDEAA Board for Drexel’s College of Engineering, which focuses on supporting and providing resources to minority students in the College of Engineering. In addition, her passion for giving back to her community includes her mentoring black and brown youth in Math and Science, exposing them to STEM related careers through internships/externships, and volunteering as a Math Facilitator for the Philly Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. SAT Prep Program. Her motto is “Your talents are meant to be shared with others, not kept to yourself.”
